There is this new tv show on Spike about how to survive disasters. So far I have seen 2 out of 3 episodes. I watched the one about an airplane hijacking and the one about an office building burning down. The next episode is about how to survive a hurricane. The way they are promoting this episode is by saying "you cannot afford to miss this episode." It's a marketing tactic of fear. They're basically saying if you miss this episode there is a good chance you will lose your life. First and foremost, Guam residents have survived numerous typhoons (aka hurricanes) of winds above 200 mph without watching a tv show on how to survive. It would be interesting to see the episode but I think I know how to survive a hurricane aka typhoon. Thanks though. I like the show because of its innovative content. There will also be upcoming episodes about how to survive a nuclear attack, home invasion, avalanche, lost at sea, earthquake and mall shooting. I want to watch that nuclear attack episode.
Welcome to the Island Perspective Blog. It is here, where you can find out what global events look like from an outside perspective. What weird or bizarre stories make it all the way to a dot on the map country? A spec of land on planet Earth. A remote island on the Pacific Rim called Guam. And one college kid, who is an unknown, on an unknown island...this might actually be the most unknown blog in the entire worLD! Last few words... "TRIPLE P...Positivity.Progression.Peace." -JRS
