I watched the season premiere of TUF 10 with Kimbo Slice last night. Out of curiosity I typed in to google "TUF 10 Ratings" just to see if a lot of other people in the states watched the show. I was surprised to learn that the show had the highest ratings of all time in all ten seasons of The Ultimate Fighter. Here is the article:
The season debut of “The Ultimate Fighter 10” shattered the network’s previous ratings record for the show with a whopping 4.1 million viewers (5.3 rating), according to a press release distributed by Spike TV Thursday.
The series’ previous highpoint was 2.8 million viewers for the live finale of “The Ultimate Fighter 3” in 2006, said the release.
The addition of streetfighting sensation Kimbo Slice to the 16-man heavyweight cast helped the cable network top the Men 18-34, 18-49, 18-24, and 25-34 demos, beating out “The Jay Leno Show,” “America’s Got Talent” season finale and others, according to the release.
The debut also grabbed 3.2 million viewers in the co-gender Person 18-49 demographic.
