An extremely sad and unfortunate occurrence. This is a serious serious thing. I took a time out to say a prayer for all the people and all the victims of this terrible disaster. It almost serves as a big wake up call to start the new year saying be grateful for what you have. All I can say is Peace be with you all. Guam is on the other side of the planet but people out here are talking about it. Honestly, Im addicted to CNN, MSNBC and FOX NEWS broadcasting the latest on the Haiti earthquake. Its the first channel I check when I wake up and before I go to sleep. On a personal note, one of my high school friends, was actually out there in Haiti, serving in the peace corps. So for a whole day since the earthquake happened me and my friends on Guam were unsure if he was alright. I was confident he was okay, and fortunately for everyone he was okay.
It's very good to see President Obama pledging $100 million in relief efforts and also just regular people pitching in money and helping in any way they can. That's what you call humanity.
