..Or at least the past 3-4 months..haaha

Welcome to the Island Perspective Blog. It is here, where you can find out what global events look like from an outside perspective. What weird or bizarre stories make it all the way to a dot on the map country? A spec of land on planet Earth. A remote island on the Pacific Rim called Guam. And one college kid, who is an unknown, on an unknown island...this might actually be the most unknown blog in the entire worLD! Last few words... "TRIPLE P...Positivity.Progression.Peace." -JRS

Movie LIne of the Week
"Well, at least he died doing what he loved...which is basically being on the computer." HILARIOUS!
Random Question of the Week
Is it wrong, if I took a walk in the park by myself?
...It was a park in the Phillipines..with a bunch of ppl around
..kinda like central park or some shit like that.
Idk. I think there might be something wrong with that.
But then again it was very peaceful, especually when I walked though the Chinese garden part, you had to pay 5 pesos, but it was worth the sober mind release.

Children Begging in Phillipines
Today i was walking to eat lunch at a restaurant down the street when I noticed a little girl, probably 3 years old, holding her fathers hand while begging for money at a bus stop. I saw her walk was tired and her face hurting, eyes beaming with a sense of true desperation. She was unclean, dressed with a hole in her shirt and had her hand extended, begging to uninterested locals waiting for the bus. After the little girl passed by a few people, some 40 year old lady gave the little girl a few coins probably to what amounted to 10 pesos. The little girls father smiled at the lady and they then moved on. After the little girl took a few small steps, i put a folded 100 pesos bill in her little outstretched hand as she looked at me with a normalcy. I smiled back in return. The little girl didnt care, however the father recognized immediately what just happened and his eyes lit up as he said "Salamat" to me with the voice of a weak 60 year old man. I just quickly made eye contact with the father, nodded my head once in reaffirmation, and walked away fast. I didnt want the fame. I didnt want the glory or the thanks and praises, I walked out of there faster than fast food. But something happened as I walked away. Maybe about 7 steps fast while acting like I got away with a bank robbery, a thought popped in my head. The thought seem so refreshed and shiny like it was coming from a divine source. The divine thought was accompanied by a sense of weightlesness and freedom from all things. The thought said something like, "you did the right thing there...u young sinful idiot." hah...i had to lightly laugh at myself...i discreetly glanced back after 20 some odd steps and dammit the father was looking at me in astonishment. he looked at me like i was some miracle sent from God that day to give them hope for the future. My eyeballs retreated to the opposite direction as i pretended not to notice. Damn, its like doing a good deed for someone/helping someone out, can surprisingly, benefit you. It can benefit the benefactor. Now, Im like damn...I think I should do the right thing more often.
