Welcome to the Island Perspective Blog. It is here, where you can find out what global events look like from an outside perspective. What weird or bizarre stories make it all the way to a dot on the map country? A spec of land on planet Earth. A remote island on the Pacific Rim called Guam. And one college kid, who is an unknown, on an unknown island...this might actually be the most unknown blog in the entire worLD! Last few words... "TRIPLE P...Positivity.Progression.Peace." -JRS

Twilight New Moon
The talk about movie of November. Well, it was all sold out. Haha. the whole night. so I think other movies ticket sales went up. Like LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. Which I watched and was impressed. Good movie. With a twist at the end. However, there were some gruesome scenes which I don't think should be exposed to kids at a young age.
Im organizing my thoughts for a paper I want to write regarding the next generation of kids being exposed to a wide variety of things today, and how it will affect them and the world for that matter 20 years from now.
I mean this generation is growing up on youtube, 1000s of television channels, the internet, movies with incredible special effects...and all I know is I didnt grow up on that. I believe there will be some effect that this exposure will have on the next generation.

Manny Pacquiao

Paquiao destroys Cotto. I watched the fight at my boy's house in a living room with a 50 inch plasma. (Had a ceremonial beer at the start of the fight.) Pacman is possibly the greatest fighter of our time. He has belts in 7 different weight classes which definately makes him one of the greatest fighters ever. I would not want to fight this guy. Shout out to the Phillipine Islands! 3 hr plane ride from Guam.

Wuts really good? Well just wanted to publish my thoughts again. Havent done this in a minute. Right now Im watching the FEDOR/ROGERS fight on CBS...its on in about 10 minutes. So whats on my mind. I spent the day yesterday with the baby Aramiah. That is my god daughter. 2 and a half years old. We went outside to the beach, laughed and played in the sand. I got caught up in some deep thoughts again as I always do while looking at the ocean as the backdrop. However, the foreground brought me back to present reality as I watched the baby shovel up some sand into her bucket then immediately pick up the bucket and pour the sand out. Haha. Little kids are just simply a blessing. It's almost selfish to have them, because they are an easy bailout to make you happy. So then we walked down to a shady part of the beach. She was scared of the water at first, but I showed her how I was having fun touching the water that washed up on the shore. Little by little she touched the water, then ran back to me as another wave washed up on shore. Then I told her I was hungry. Then she said, do you want to eat some sand? Haha. What a comedian. Then we went into the shallow water, she was scared at first, clinging on to me but I pretended to be a boat and she rode on my back laughing. She started to become more comfortable with the water, and started swimming on her own. We stayed in the water for about 30 minutes because she didnt want to leave. Haha. She loved the ocean now. Well, later that night we watched the Pa'a Tao Tao Tano performance at Mercy Heights with my mom and dad. We sat in the front row. I was a chair away from Robert Underwood, who was 2 chairs away from Carl Guiterrez. I just wanted to see if they would shake hands during intermission. I didnt see them shake hands though. They were occupied talking to other people. Anyways. There have been so many good days recently. I wonder when the bad day is coming along to balance things out. I know it's coming. But until it does I might as well enjoy all these good days. Till next time...I wanna leave u guys with this new trailer from M.Night Shaylaman. Im looking forward to seeing this one...
